One Lucky Lady

Sorry Ive been MIA for a few days but my best friend since I was 12 flew into town for my bday so i've been soaking in all my time with her and my family! She is the female version of my husband and needless to say we have endless laughs when we're all together. If you have a bestie like that you better hang onto to them because friends like this only come around once in a lifetime!
Ava already thinks were crazy :)
This was definitely a bubbly filled, calories don't count kind of weekend! :)
We rallied up to LA for a girls dinner at one of my favorite restaurants Cecconi's. It was so nice to get dressed up and have a little night out with my girls!
CAn YoU TelL i Was ReAlLy ExCiteD tO Be OuT?!

I finally got to wear my maxi dress by For Love and Lemons I posted on a couple months back.  You can find it HERE
Sticking with the bubbly theme (and taking FULL advantage of daddy day care since it was "my bday"), we also got to squeeze in a beautiful brunch at the Pelican Hill Resort.
I definitely recommend lunch on the terrace at Andrea restaurant or grabbing drinks poolside at the Coliseum grill (They have a pretty good brunch buffet on the weekends too).
A quick outfit snapshot I wore to brunch.
(Wearing Zara Blouse, 7 for all Mankind cropped denim, Miu Miu leopard platforms and Rachel Zoe Bag)

  22. Happy Birthday Gorgeous Girl, you definitely need to get out of the house so you don't feel like you are going crazy behind those 4 walls. You need that time to recharge to keep you going:) I love your outfits, especially the last one with the red blouse. Love it! What is that dark lip you have, looks perfect for fall?

  23. Happy belated birthday Andee! I love posts where I can get a glimpse of your home decor. After fashion, home decor is probably my second obsession. I tune in all the time in hopes one day you'll do a home decor post! In the meantime, love the outfits and especially baby Ava posts! She's super cute!

  29. Hey Andee, (:
I'm Alexis, and I love your blog!
    Your so pretty.
I fell in love with the white maxi dress <3
I think I'm going to purchase it for a wedding i am going to attend since its black and white theme
HOWEVER, I am 17 and when my mom saw this dress, she was like that's to revealing! Given that I'm also conservative also.
I was thinking about sewing in the deep v neck line so that it's kind of more of a halter top dress, but I just wanted to ask if that would work or through off the whole dress since I don't know the actual fitting...if anything do you know any other ways I can make it less revealing?
And lastly, can you tell me what shoes you wore with it and how you did your hair and makeup?
I would greatly appreciate it (:
Hope to hear from you soon :D -Alexis
