After trying every swing out there we found they we're so bulky and most swings were SO fast we caved in a bought the glorified Mamaroo. I have to admit its a pretty cool concept but it just didn't do it for us. Anytime I set Ava in it while awake she fussed. So we ended up returning it. The $50 bouncy we bought from Target, as well as the pack and play (previously posted under "must have baby products") have been AMAZING!!
We did end up buying this Disney Swing and love it! It sits a little higher off the ground than the other swings and to me looked less bulky. It also has 5 speed setting which was just what we were looking for!

Im SO happy with our UppaBaby Vista stroller! No complaints here. I love the look, how easy it is to use, and it has lots of storage room and accessories you can add to it! I'm so glad we shelled out a little extra cash for a great one!
Like most babies Ava was pretty gassy the first month. Our pediatrician recommended this baby probiotic and it really seemed to help her tummy. Its a healthy bacteria that helps with digestion.
They also have this kind for older kids that look and taste like starburst! So if your little ones need some help in the potty department def look into these (they can be a little pricey though from Whole Foods)
There is NOTHING worse than hearing your little one cry in pain! I felt so helpless in the first month when Ava's tummy was upset from something I had ate! Little tummys Gripe Water was a life saver! We have only had to use it 3 or 4 times in the past couple months but as soon as we give it to her she settles!
These milk screen tests were a MUST for me! I couldn't wait to have my first glass of wine after almost a year but I was so nervous! Even though my doctor said a glass of wine was ok...these tests strips were a great reassurance that she wasn't getting any alcohol in her milk! After using them a couple times I know that it takes my body about 2.5 hours to clear one glass of wine from my milk but I still test anyway! So highly recommends these for first time moms who are paranoid about enjoying a MUCH deserved cocktail and breastfeeding!
I posted these on Instagram last week. I LOVE wubbaNubs soothers! They have a little stuffed animal attached to them so the baby can hold on to it and helps keep the soother in her mouth. Highly recommend!
I previously posted on the benefits of coconut oil. It has worked great for Ava's cradle cap!**I hope this was helpful and I LOVE to hear what products you ladies are loving as well!!

This is an awesome list!! Thanks so much for posting! Off to the check out the PJs and bookmarking for later! ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat post thank you Andee! I'm making notes right now for our baby girl (2 more months to go fo me)
ReplyDeleteBtw, I adore this last pic of Ava you posted, so precious!
Thanks for the list Andee~ I love seeing what products other moms love and work for them! This has been a favorite of mine it is a product for you, but I'm in love with the lillypad silicone nursing pads they work awesome no leaking and feel way better then bulky nursing pads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post! I am certainly going to be bookmarking this for the future!! Ava in her food coma is just so adorable!
ReplyDeleteMy son is almost 3 weeks old and hates his swing also. The thing is so plush and fabulous, how can he hate it!? Also, I second the Soothies. Apparently they're the best for avoiding nipple confusion :)
ReplyDeleteMine was one of those who also didn't care for the swing....lots of people swear by them, but my little one had no desire. Of course had it been the only place he'd sleep or let me put him down, then it would have been worth it. He did love the little bouncy seat though.
ReplyDeleteWe also love kicky pants - seriously best pajamas/loungewear ever. They are definitely worth it in my opinion. And I also agree that the Uppababy is a great stroller. We have love it and used it a ton.
I had to use those gas drop! Super expensive but they helped! The test strips are awesome!
ReplyDeletei'm totally gonna reference this in the future! Ava is just delicious...how do you do anything but stare at her all day?
ReplyDeleteOMG @ the milk coma picture, Andee!!! LOL- love it! She is so beautiful, chunky and healthy- keep on keeping on! You are doing phenomenal!! Thanks for the updates on the products- soo good to know. Real and from the source! Thanks so much!....tiffany

We love kicky pants PJ's and outfits too! My little boy actually has some on right now! I completely agree with how hard it was to hear my sweet little baby crying and thinking it was probably from something I ate. I cut out lots of stuff like dairy, chocolate, garlic, onions, gassy veggies, etc. and it helped tremendously!! And girl, that glass of wine is totally well deserved, I know exactly how you feel. You have such a cutie.
ReplyDeleteso glad you posted the wubbaNubs didn't know they existed till i came across your blog, my little one gets too excited and always loses his passy !
